As The World Turbans

I am really into the turban trend and decided to rock my new Asos turban at the San Francisco Charity Fashion Show. I also got to meet one of my favorite bloggers, Amber from ambersnotebook. I kept the rest of the outfit very simple, but I also think that the cobalt blue would look great with a leopard or cheetah print.

Rent the Runway

A few months ago I entered a contest hosted by the blog styleite to win a gift certificate for renttherunway. You had to submit your best "party pic." I submitted the top picture, from a close friend's wedding. I found that Missoni dress at Crossroads Trading Company in San Francisco. It is probably one of the best.finds.ever. It also won me a Rent the Runway gift certificate. So it practically paid for itself!

I finally used my winnings this past month for a wedding my fiance and I went to in Mexico. I decided on an Herve Leger "Coral Me Bad" Bandage Dress. The entire experience was fantastic and I will definitely be using Rent the Runway again for another special occasion. That being said, I don't know if Herve Leger is the most practical dress to wear to any occasion in which one may have to eat or even think about eating. It is just a tad restrictive!

Red Letter Day

I have a running joke with my friend Rachel that I need to quit my job, move to a foreign county, and become independently wealthy so I can FINALLY work on my blog. Since I am not independently wealthy, quitting my job isn't really a viable option. And since I can't quit my job and I like my life in San Fran, I can't really up and move to a foreign county...so where does that leave me? Well one out of four ain't bad...

I have always loved fashion and style since I was a little girl and started reading the Baby Sitters Club series (Claudia Kishi and her ah-mazing lavendar overalls anyone?). The obsession continued after watching Clueless and becoming completely devoted to knee socks and Contempo Casuals. Lucy!!! Where's my white collarless  shirt from Fred Seeegaaalll?!!! I love trying new trends, but often look to movies, artists, historical figures and books for fashion inspiration. At this time in my life, I love reading my favorite bloggers for ideas and learning about their unique personal style. Thus, I have decided to jump into the blogger ocean and try my best to swim with the best of them! Or at least slowly float along at a slow tortoise like pace.

Enjoy!
